Greetings. Does anyone have any information about Russian rangefinders from the early 20th century? The most common of these meters are the Russian vertical rangefinder M 1910 and the Launitz horizontal rangefinder M 1905. They are moniumutkaisa precision measuring devices, which were manufactured in Russia in the thousands, because each coastal battery had to have its own meters, often both of these.
Were they manufactured in St. Petersburg? The factories were probably the Obuhov, Sietarjoki or Nikolai optomechanical workshops, the St. Petersburg fuse factory, Geisler, Ericsson RU or later LOMO. Ino later had the Perepelkin fire control system in Ino supplied by Ericsson. And there was Perepelkin's datsa there too! These measuring devices remained in Finland and were used until the 1940s. I have not seen these in any museum in Russia or elsewhere. The Obuhov museum does have a micrometer Lyuzholja-Myakisheva.
